STUDY OF DEMULTIPLEXERS USING GATES AND ICS
AIM:
- To set up a 1 x 4 demultiplexer using gates.
- Study of 1 x 16 demultiplexer IC 74154.
MATERIALS AND TOOLS REQUIRED:
IC trainer kit, ICs 7400, 7410, 7440, 74154 and, Power supply.
THEORY:
De-multiplexer does the reverse operation of an multiplexer. A de-multiplexer has only one input and many outputs. The control inputs steer the input to any of the outputs. A decoder is similar to a de-multiplexer.

PROCEDURE:
Test all the components and ICs using multi meter and digital IC tester. Set up the 1 x 4 de-multiplexer using logic gates and verify the truth table. Set up the de-multiplexer IC and verify the truth table.
RESULT:
A1 X 4 de multiplexer is set up using gates and the truth table is verified. Studied the working of 1 X 16 de multiplexer IC 74154.
